My Story

Creativity has always been an integral part of Donna Storey’s life, whether through collecting art, home decorating, or working with her hands. After a long and fulfilling career in dental hygiene, she now dedicates her time to artistic expression, finding joy in mosaics, sewing, and most recently, the creation of unique, character-filled dolls.

Her journey into doll-making began with a simple desire to embellish a bird figurine. That experiment quickly led to something unexpected—a fascination with transforming forgotten dolls into one-of-a-kind works of art. Using pieces of her husband’s hand-blown glass, vintage jewelry, and found objects from thrift stores, garage sales, and auctions, she breathes new life into these neglected figures, giving them distinct personalities and stories to tell.

Each doll is an expression of reinvention, nostalgia, and individuality. They invite viewers to see beyond their original form and discover their own meaning in each creation. Donna believes that art has the power to transform the ordinary into something extraordinary, and through her dolls, she celebrates the beauty of renewal and the magic of imagination.
